Week 5

This week we continued our prototype online store and we created a master page. A master page is a page that defines the structure of the website and any layout that you want on the other pages is put on this page so as to reduce coding. To create a Master page we right-click on the folder in solution explorer and choose "Add New Item". Then you choose Master page. Delete the content placeholders and add the layout of your website and there's your Master page. Now to put it in action, whenever you create a new page simply go to "Add New Item" and tick the "select master page" checkbox and that's it.
